RHD Jeeps for Postal Workers
Factory-made RHD Jeeps
One of the hardest parts of delivering the US Mail to your customers is finding a RHD vehicle that is built tough, safe and with parts readily available. Japan Partner Inc. has been working very hard with one of our USA Partners to source, supply and legally land the Chrysler Jeep Cherokee just for this purpose. Stock is available right now in the United States! You’ll never have any more dangerous conversions as these units are factory made in the USA, RHD with modern safety features. Japanese roads are the best in the world and coupled with bi-yearly safety inspections vehicles 12 years old are still in very good condition.
Importation to the US
All vehicles imported to the US (even if originally manufactured there) need to be certified to conform to US safety and emissions standards.
The certification process is very lengthy and can only be undertaken by a qualified Registered Importer. The RI importing the Jeeps needs to have a detailed understanding of all laws and regulations pertaining to vehicle safety and needs to prove – and guarantee - to the US Department of Transportation that the vehicle imported does meet all relevant safety and emissions standards of the US. Our Partner in the USA is able as an RI to undertake this responsibility.
Features
- USA Partners stock - RHD Factory made Jeeps are available now!

Nissan Skylines - Japan Partner Inc.
Recently Japan Partner began buying the R34 GT-T and converting the body kit to look like the GTR. We put the full aero package, wider rear fenders and even widen the stance with hub spacers. To up the ante just a little, Japan Partner Inc. also sourced parts and had a custom dash made so that the R34 GT-T would not only look like the R34 GT-R but also be....Left Hand Drive!
I bet that got your attention! Yes you read correctly...we can now convert the RHD R34 GT-T to LHD! Unfortunately we do not provide the conversion kit alone, but we do provide the entire car, base R34 GT-T converted to look like the R34 GT-R and change the steering from right to left for only, 29,500 USD FOB! In most cases shipping RORO to your nearest port would cost another 1000 USD. Remember, no one else in Japan can do this!
If you would like more information on this GT-R look alike, send us an email or give us a call.
Thank you for reading, greater things are yet to come! :-)

Who Is...Japan Partner Inc?
Recently I was so excited to write this blog I forgot to tell you more about who Japan Partner Inc. is and what services we provide. The company was started as a sole proprietorship back in 2000. From 2003 Japan Partner became a limited company and from November 1, of 2007 a corporation. In 1999, the President Bitari Yoshida saw an opportunity to bring tech to the used vehicle export business. Bitari saw that the old boys in the industry were not using the internet. This was the gap he needed to enter the market and he quickly took advantage of the situation. Our website is proof, as it is easy to use and provides customers with all the information they require to make educated purchases of vehicles. In August of 2007 he was appointed to the JUMVEA Information Technology Board as one of their Directors.
Note* - JUMVEA (Japan Used Motor Vehicle Export Association) was set up by MITI (Japan's Ministry of Industry and Trade) to be a self governing body to which exporters could join, work to improve industry standards and prove they are reliable exporters and members of the organization.
Japan Partner Inc. has doubled in size every year since inception. This growth has been built on a solid foundation. We have an excellent infrastructure that includes a container loading facility, professional paint booths, 5 mechanic bays, one with a vehicle lift, and 10 parking lots among the rice paddies where we store our vehicles.
Currently we have over 100,000 registered members worldwide and this continues to grow. Interestingly though almost 60% of our business is repeat customers. We can update them with newsletters about new stock, purchasing details, invoicing, shipping and document tracking.
Here are some of the services we currently offer:
1. Individual Vehicle Sales and Service
2. Dealer Bulk Sales & Services
3. Auction Agent Services
4. Logistics - Container Loading, FOB arrangements, Vessel Bookings
5. Professional Body Paint Facilities
6. Frame Straightening Shop
7. Used Parts in Bulk
8. RHD to LHD Conversions
9. Online Parts Store
10. Multilingual Staff - English, German, Japanese, Polish, Russian
I'm sure there are some other great things I've forgotten to mention so...stay tuned for my next blog!

Auction Agent Services - Japan Partner Inc.
We are happy to sell vehicles to individuals but we had to make a better program for dealers around the globe to purchase in bulk, at much better rates. More and more of bulk buyers are flocking to our company as we have superior loading facilities and access to Japan's largest port, the Port of Nagoya. The Port of Nagoya is larger than Tokyo and Osaka ports combined. More container ships visit this port than anywhere in Japan. Combining our Auction Agents Services with the best logistic services possible makes our company an industry leader in the vehicle export arena.
The Benefits!
Cost. The bottom line here is to provide a service for wholesale purchases that reduces your costs, because at the end of the day our businesses have to be profitable.
We provide you with auction access (with log in name and password) so you can search 75 auctions around Japan (This number is gradually increasing too). You can search for the vehicle you want, send us the vehicle information, lot number, your maximum bid and let us do the rest. We both save time and effort!
The key here is you are choosing the vehicles you need. We have over 600 vehicles in stock, but we don’t always have the vehicle you require. Now you can choose exactly what meets your needs. Just tell us the auction house, location, auction number, lot number type of car and maximum bid price for the vehicle. We’ll do the rest!
Whole Sale Commission Scale – Vehicles purchased in One Month (30 days increments starting any day when the 1st vehicle is purchased).
1 vehicle/month 650 USD/vehicle
2 – 4 vehicles/month 550 USD/vehicle
5 – 9 vehicles/month 450 USD/vehicle
10 – 14 vehicles/month 350 USD/vehicle
15 – 24 vehicles/month 250 USD/vehicle
25 – 34 vehicles/month 200 USD/vehicle
35 vehicles plus/month 150 USD/vehicle
Here is a comparison cost simulation for purchasing one 3000$ car per month versus 10 cars per month.
1 Vehicle/Month
Car Price 3,000 USD
Sales Tax 150 USD
Auction Fees 80 USD
JP Commission 650 USD
Inland Transport 50 USD
FOB Charge 500 USD
Total FOB 4,430 USD
10 Vehicle/Month
Car Price 3,000 USD
Sales Tax 150 USD
Auction Fees 80 USD
JP Commission 350 USD
Inland Transport 50 USD
FOB Charge 500 USD
Total FOB 4,130 USD
*You would save 3000 USD on 10 units purchased in month.
At the end of the day, you'll be buying what you need, at a lower price, with industry leading logistics to your nearest port. Japan Parter Inc. would like to be you only Exporter!
Thank you for reading today's post. We have many more services I will introduce in my next Blog. Have a great day.

Importing JDM Cars - FAQ's Part II
There are several more things one needs to know about importing and we recieve hundreds of emails each day asking us questions about the entire process. Here is Part II of our Japan Partner Inc. FAQ: We will answer more shipping questions today.
6. What documents will I receive and when/how will they be sent?
We will be sending you the Bill of Lading (BOL), the original Japanese Vehicle Title/Export certificate, this document translated to English and an orginal copy of your invoice. These documents are sent by EMS (Japan Post Express Mail Service) or by another major courier service depending on your country.
7. Who will notify me when my vehicles arrives?
Each shipping company has agents both in Japan and at the port where your vehicle arrives. As long as you have provided the proper telephone number and address they will contact you when the vehicle has arrived and let you know where to pick up the vehicle.
8. What are the import duties and broker fees?
You will have to consult with local authorities in your country as this is payable to your government and broker. These often change and we do not dedicate resources to this effort. Please be sure you can import a vehicle to your country before you make any purchases.
9. Would you be able to ship only a specific part or engine alone?
We can and do support our customers world wide with parts. Often some countries we deal with don't have any manufacturers dealers in their country. To ship an engine for example would go through the same process as a car. You pay for the engine, FOB and the ocean freight cost to ship the engine LCL (less than container load).
10. How is the ocean freight rate calculated?
For shipping by RORO (car ferry) it is the shipper's rate multiplied by the cubic meter volume of the car. Not all areas have RORO service and so we must ship by container. Container shipping is usually more expensive but it is safer and often much faster.
Thank you for reading, we hope this answer more questions than you have to ask!

Importing a JDM Cars - Some FAQ's
Today I’d like to give you a few answers to our most common frequently asked question here at Japan Partner Inc. These should to help you get to grips with the industry lingo.
Here is Part I. (Next week I'll post Part II)
1. What is the Car Price?
Now I know this sounds obvious, but we are exporters and there are three things that we charge for, one is Car Price. This is the only part of the transaction that can be negotiated. FOB and Ocean Freight charges are fixed costs with little or no margin as they cover a third parties cost. You won't be able to negotiate the FOB charges and definitely not the Ocean Freight charges especially with rising fuel costs!
2. What is FOB?
FOB is the abbreviation of "Free on Board". The FOB cost applies to all cars exported from Japan. FOB price includes export arrangements such as export and customs documents, document translations, delivery of the vehicle from the dealer to port and loading onto the ship. FOB price does not include the car shipping cost to your port. Often vehicle prices are posted with FOB included. For example: 3500 USD FOB. This means the car price and FOB total 3500 US Dollars.
3. What is Ocean Freight?
This is the cost to have your vehicle delivered to your nearest port. Basically the port to port cost. This is what the ship company charges for delivery. If RORO is available to your port it is usually cheaper than shipping by container. The reason for this is the car freight is charged on the cubic meter volume of the car, so is the container, the container being larger is more expensive. FOB for containers is also more expensive. FOB charges on a 20 ft. container are around 1300 USD and for the 40 ft. 2000 USD.
4. What is RORO shipping?
RORO stands for Roll On/Roll Off in industry lingo. It's a car ferry you can drive they drive your vehicle onto, park and on arrival to your port, drive it off! Many of these ships sail the Seven Seas but most are used by the world’s manufacturers and on occasion space can be limited.
5. How many cars can I load?
RORO ships can carry in excess of 4000 units. That said they don't exactly have fixed schedules unless it is a major route i.e. Japan to the USA. With RORO you can load as many as you like depending on the availability of space. A 20ft. containers dimensions generally allow for loading of say 1 SUV but you can fit two smaller cars that have a low profile say less than 150 cm high. With the advent of the 40ft. High cube our company is now able to load 4 standard size vehicles or 3 SUV's. In some cases we have even loaded 7 mini trucks with a few parts thrown in for good measure.
Thank you for reading...I'll post Part II of our FAQ next week! Have a great day.
